Vivi pochádza z môjho "A" vrhu. Je vždy veselá a vtipná. Áno, vtipná! Dokáže nás svojimi psími - až ľudskými - kúskami vždy rozveseliť a držať v strehu.
Vivi má kvalitný exteriér, pevnú psychiku a neobyčajný pracovný temperament. Vyniká vysokou inteligenciou. V roku 2007 absolvovala na Veterinárnej univerzite v Košiciach
IQ testy pre pracovných psov s najvyšším počtom bodov testovaných plemien! Iste sa na tom podpisujú pracovní predkovia matky jej otca, rovnako ako aj jej výnimočná vždy veselá povaha, ktorú prenáša aj na svoje deti.

Kaktus pochádza zo spojenia africkej suky a švédskeho psa. V jeho rodokmeni nájdeme afrických, amerických a austrálskych predkov z tých najznámejších chovateľských staníc (Cartouche, Kimani, Rex Ventors, Bearstar, Kalahari).
Kaktus pochádza z vrhu, kde sa narodili iba 3 šteňatá (1x zálomok). Kaktus aj jeho sestra Rain sú chovné psy, zdravé, exteriérovo veľmi kvalitní jedinci s vyrovnanou, typickou povahou.
Kaktusova matka Terrouges Thembi je nielen jednou z najúspešnejších európskych výstavných ridgebackov, nositeľkou titulu Svetový víťaz 2003, European Veteran Winner 2009, ale tiež zložila poľovnícke skúšky MIBzH a BZ, ďalej ZOP a záchranárske ZZZ a VZ1. Thembi pochádza z veľmi kvalitného vrhu 7 šteniat, z ktorého sa v chove v JAR uplatnili v chove ďalší 2 psi a jedna sučka. Rodokmeň Thembi je založený na starých afrických líniách (prevažné Mushana a Cartouche) ktoré významne ovplyvnili populáciu ridgebackov na celom svete.
Kaktusov otec Rex Ventors Ikaros pochádza z kvalitného vrhu známej švédskej stanice Rex Ventors. Z siedmych šteniat (2/5) je iba jeden pes neštandardný (1 vír), ostatných šesť šteniat sa podieľa na chove a sú nositeľmi titulov šampión. V Ikarusovom rodokmeni nájdeme množstvo špičkových psov. Ikarosova matka CH Bearstar Diamond Willow je importovaná z Austrálie a je zakladateľkou chovu Rex Ventors. 4 roky za sebou bola najúspešnejším švédskym výstavným psom. Ikarosov otec Ch Masithela's Famous Akinzo by Woody bol v roku 2004 najúspešnejším RR v Nórsku a jeho rodičia sú nemenej slávni USA Top RR Ch Wetu of Kalahari "Woody" a najúspešnejšia nórska suka Ch Ami Sariba.

Kaktus je prínosom v chove nielen vďaka svojmu rodokmeňu, ale hlavne kvôli svojim exteriérovým a povahovým kvalitám.
Kaktus vyniká silnou kostrou, správnym formátom, výborným a po niekoľko generácii upevneným uhlením končatín, pevnou hornou líniou a potrebnou substanciou. Jeho výška je uprostred štandardu, napriek tomu mu nechýba elegancia a v pohybe dlhý plynulý krok.
Kaktus je povahovo pes veľmi vyrovnaný, pokojný, bez známok agresivity k ľuďom a ostatným psom a ďalším zvieratám. Je ľahko cvičiteľný, je vnímavý a veľmi učenlivý, bez známok nadmernej tvrdohlavosti, tak typické pre niektoré ridgebacky. Je silne závislý na svojej svorke a paničke, vyžaduje neustály kontakt s človekom, je nerád sám. Pokojná a vyrovnaná povaha je jeho veľkou prednosťou, avšak rovnako si stále si zachováva aj dobrý temperament, vďaka čomu je dobre cvičiteľný a ovládateľný. Od zveri je odvolateľný, svoj lovecký pud si vybíja na coursingu, ktorý miluje.

Kaktus comes from the Nyathi "C" litter. This litter was small in size (only 3 puppies) but big in quality. Kaktus and his sister Rain are the only correct puppies (plus 1 boy with small kink), both conform to CKRR’s breeding conditions and are used in breeding. They are healthy, typical ridgebacks with excellent temperaments. Both of them are holding several titles. The parents of Kaktus are South African import mother and Swedish father. His pedigree is made by African, American and Australian dogs from worldwide famous kennels (Cartouche, Kimani, Rex Ventors, Bearstar and Kalahari)

His mother, Terrouges Thembi is not only one of the most successful European showdogs, having titles Worldwinner 2003, European Veteran Winner 2009 titles attached to her name but she also passed hunting, obedience and Search and Rescue dogs tests.
Thembi is born in very good litter of 7 puppies, apart from Thembi 2 dogs and one bitch have been used in breeding in South Africa. Her pedigree is based on old African lines (mainly Mushana and Cartouche) that had significant impact on the look of our breed today.

The father of Kaktus Rex Ventors Ikaros comes from excellent litter of well-know Swedish kennel Rex Ventors. From 7 puppies of the I litter one dog is pet (one crown), all 6 correct puppies – 5 females and one male – are used in breeding, are conformation champions, mentality tested and clear on hips and elbows. Pedigree of Ikaros is made of many outstanding dogs. His mother, ch Bearstar Diamond Willow is imported from Australia and is Rex Ventors’ foundation bitch. She has been top show bitch in Sweden in four consecutive years. The father of Ikaros, ch Masithela Famous Akinzo by Woody was top show ridgeback in Norway in 2004 and his parents are famous USA Top RR Ch Wetu of Kalahari and top show RR in Norway Ch Ami Sariba.

Kaktus is so valuable for our breeding plans not only because of his pedigree but mainly thanks to his conformational and temperament qualities.
Kaktus has strong bones, correct format, excellent angulations in front and rear which is carried over couple of generations, he has strong topline and correct substance, yet enough elegance. His size is in the middle of standard range but he still has elegant ground covering gait.
Kaktus is very balanced, quiet dog without any aggression towards people, other dogs and animals. He is easy to train, very attentive and not too stubborn, unlike many ridgebacks. He is very attached to his master, requires contact with humans and does not enjoy being left alone. His quiet and balanced temperament is his big asset however he is still active dog which makes him good working dog for many types of training. He has moderate hunting instinct but because of proper training he can be called of any prey, still he is a passionate coursing racer.
